Hi,
My name is Niobe. I am 9 years old and in year 4.
My experience at City2Surf on the 14th of August 2016 was painful yet worth it because it gives me a chance to think about other people in the world who have to walk more than 14 kilometres each day just to get water or to go to school. For water, they have to go back and forth because they only have little containers.
This year I walked to help ANCOP raise enough money to send a child like me to school in the Philippines. ANCOP scholars are very poor. They cannot even afford uniforms, bus money and lunch.
I want to help at least one child stay in school for one more year. You can help also by donating as much money as you can so I can raise $360 for ANCOP.
I would like to thank mum and dad, my auntie Rose, my brother Jed, my sisters Serenade, Lara and my baby sister Eliza (in her trolley) for joining and encouraging me in City2Surf 2016.
May God bless us all.
